involves deconstructing the wood with saws and chisels, cutting and shaping and sticking it back together. It'sbeen my signature work for over 35 years. Watching tidal water has long been a fascination, its physical response to gravity, ebb & flow. The line of a woman's back, these shapes abstract, feminine and natural come from my love of daydreaming. This style can only be applied to solid wood, and by carving deep within it enhances the grain and creates a strong desire to touch it.
